This transitional upper-division course aims to introduce students to the critical understanding of literary texts, images, and films. Students in this course will also be introduced to writing critical essays in the traditional French dialectical style writing and thinking. This course is thus a gateway to all upper-division courses in French and to Study Abroad, in Paris or beyond. Written and oral work. Required of majors. Prerequisite: FREN044 PO.
